I’m Kirstin Berg and I am so happy you are here to learn a bit about my story.

Here is how Derg’s story began.  My husband adopted him from a local shelter and the two of them started their family together.  I met my husband a few months later and I knew this was the guy for me (one of those moments, you know!).  Derg was his side-kick and followed him everywhere.

 

When we got married, he was our ring bearer and stole the show.  Within a year, I found out I was pregnant and Derg quickly became my side-kick!  When we would relax on the couch, he would climb up and rest his head on my belly.  The way he would nestle his head on my belly and feel our daughter move was beautiful.  That was the moment I knew I had to write a story about it.  

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever write and publish my own children’s book.  But here it is and I feel so lucky to share it with you!
